It makes me very sad to announce that I am no longer officially associated with Rare Vintage Burlesque. It was a good run for almost a year, but it’s time to move on.

Also, after Muppets Burlesque next month (more on that shortly!), I will be taking a break from burlesque for a while. This last year has been very stressful on several fronts, for me and for many of us. It’s time to take a step back, rest, reflect and renew. The odd performance may pop up now and then, but in the main I’ll be on hiatus. Wishing you all a blessed holiday season!

Rare Vintage Burlesque Presents: Guess Who’s Coming to Shimmy? The Out-of-Towners Show!

It’s almost that time again, my friends. The next Rare Vintage Burlesque show is nearly upon us, and it’s going to be truly epic! It’s not often we get visitors from far-off lands, like San Francisco and Minneapolis, but this month we are proud to welcome three of them! Guess who’s coming to shimmy? We’ve got two Reds and a Fox! Give a big Rose City welcome to Red Bone! She’s “internationally known, Minnesota grown!” Red Austere, “The Girl with the Golden Voice!” And “The Boss of Burlesque” herself, Foxy Tann! Are we excited for this show? Is Buckingham Palace a nice little shack? Snag yourself some tickets right here and get yourself a ringside seat – you do not want to miss a moment of this one! Oh, and wear something cool – it may be November, but it’s about to get hot up in here… See you there!!

Rare Vintage Burlesque Presents: The Strippening!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY! Peer into the darkness with us and see what mysteries the shadows hold close to their cold hearts in The Strippening! {thunder and lightning} Yes folks, it’s RVB’s Halloween show and I could not be more excited! Our headliner is the incredible Jacqueline Hyde (and is that not the perfect name?) from Seattle! Our guest performer is The Mayor of Chubbytown herself, Ri Ri SynCyr! And back for another go as our guest MC is the sultry Daria from 105.1 The Buzz! I will be bringing two brand-new acts to this show, and they are probably my most elaborately costumed and propped acts to date. They are both based on beloved horror films, one considered the very first, the other a modern-day classic. I’m very nervous and very excited! I’m especially jazzed to once again be sharing the stage with the mysterious Mr. Arcane for the first time since the Gods and Monsters show last year! Muppets Burlesque Hits Seattle Once Again! YAAAAAYYYYY!!!

And right after the Rare Vintage Burlesque show, the very next day I’ll be heading up to Seattle and the beautiful, historic Columbia City Theater to help bring the well-controlled chaos that is Muppets Burlesque to the stage! And guess what, folks – there are two shows on the same night! Come early, come late, or come to both – we’ll be thrilled to see you! Get your tickets here and remember – it’s not easy being green. The next RVB show is fast upon us, and it’s going to be legendary! Join us as we bring to the burlesque stage some of the most iconic figures of popular culture! We are thrilled to welcome back as our headliner that “Glittering Misfit of Burlesque,” Baby Le’Strange! Our featured performer is “cunning, courageous, and out-fucking-rageous” – it’s none other than Sloan Wolfe! And gracing our stage for the first time as guest MC is the best-dressed impresario of the Portland burlesque scene, The Mad Marquis! Rare Vintage Burlesque Presents: Freaky Friday!

It’s a switcheroo!! This month, me and my Rare Vintage Burlesque comrades go Freaky Friday style! We are welcoming a cast of performers of all ages while we sit back and watch! (and stage kitten, and tip tart, and work the door!)

We are excited as all get-out to introduce our featured performers: the incredible Miss Alex Kennedy and the scintillating Satira Sin! Our guest host this month is one of our favorite gals, Redd Skyy!  She’ll leave you feeling like you drank too much, with a side of no regrets.

Our guest performers are a dazzling cast of local and out-of-town performers, including Clementine Peel, Paige Rustles, Tazzy Bolt, Vivian Rose, and Candy Apples from Seattle!

Loxie is back this month, and boy am I raring to go! This month I and my lovely cohorts at Rare Vintage Burlesque are rolling out the red carpet and saluting some of our favorite films and movie stars! And holy cow, look who our headliner is – none other than The Infamous Nina Nightshade, “Oregon’s First Lady of Burlesque”! Our special guest is that Stone Cold Crazy Cutie, Bettie Velo! And we are thrilled to welcome the fabulous Daria of 105.1 The Buzz as our guest host/MC! I’ll be performing one of my signature numbers, a little something by Ann-Margret from Viva Las Vegas. Our First Sold-Out Show (and I MISSED IT!!)

I apologize for being a major slacker in the posting department! I was unable to participate in Rare Vintage Burlesque‘s June show, Love and PRIDE!, due to having to go out of town. Wouldn’t you know it – it was our first sold-out show! And by all accounts, what a show it was. We turned it into a benefit for the families of the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, and it was a grand success. I apologize again for not posting about this until now. Thank you so much to everyone who attended and all the beautiful performers who made this an unforgettable experience!

But tonight is the latest edition of Rare Vintage Burlesque fabulosity as we present a tribute to the boob tube (with actual boobs!). Our headliner is none other than the Glittering Misfit of Burlesque herself, Baby Le’Strange!! And our guest MC is the stupendous Angelique DeVil!! Can you stand it?? Hot on the heels of this month’s Rare Vintage Burlesque shindig, I’ll be making my debut in the lovely city of Bend, Oregon for TEASE! A Burlesque Revue! By all accounts, previous incarnations of this show have been a riot going on!
